Gender-Affirming HRT

Providing physician-led initiation, continuation, and optimization of gender-affirming hormone therapy for adults

Gender-affirming care should feel grounding, empowering, and even joyful.

How GAHT Care Works at Aurum Haven Medical

Starting hormone therapy can feel like a big step. My goal is to make the process clear and collaborative from the very beginning.

Step 1: Reach Out or Book a Consultation

You can:

  • Book a free 15-minute phone consultation online, or

  • Text, email, or message directly to schedule a full visit.

Some people prefer a brief call first. Others are ready to begin with a comprehensive consultation. Both are completely welcome.

Step 2: Your Initial Visit (In-Person, West Hollywood)

Appointments take place in a private suite at Salon Republic (8550 Santa Monica Blvd, STE 300 Studio 305).
During this 60-minute consultation, we focus on:

  • your medical history including a primary care assessment,

  • your goals and timeline,

  • prior hormone experience (if any),

  • a thoughtful treatment plan tailored to your body and needs.

Vitals, basic physical assessment, and clinical discussion are completed in a calm, unhurried setting.

Step 3: Labs & Prescriptions

If labs are medically indicated, they are ordered to QuestDiagnostics or LabCorp for convenience.
Once results return (typically within a few days), I personally review them and message you with:

  • interpretation,

  • any recommended adjustments,

  • and next steps.

Prescriptions are sent directly to your preferredpharmacy.

Step 4: Ongoing Follow-Up & Support

Follow-up is typically recommended:

  • Approximately every 3 months during the first 1–2 years when starting GAHT,

  • and spaced out thereafter based on clinical stability.

Many patients schedule their next visit before leaving the appointment, though follow-up can also be arranged after lab review.

Telehealth follow-ups are available when clinically appropriate.

A Note on My Care Model

Aurum Haven Medical will have two payment models; one is intentionally self-pay and the other is office visits using your insurance plan (COMING SOON).

For Aurum Direct Care plans, I wanted to remove insurance-driven time constraints to be able to offer longer visits, individualized regimens, and trauma-informed, relationship-centered care that evolves with you over time.
